25 under 10s travelled to Ballyshannon to play on the fantastic new playing surface at Fr Tierney Park st half time in the Donegal v Louth game. Travelling by coach the team prepared for their game by watching the 1st half of the big match from the terrace before entering the pitch at half time to the cheers of over 8,000 fans. On a beautiful sunny day the kids played 2 games against the mighty Aodh Rua teams. Our players played well showing off their teamwork, skills, style and respect t for each other whilst also giving their opponents a good challenge. For the second half of the big match they watched it whilst having their lunch from the terrace. Plenty of chatting and bonds being formed. With confidence sky high it was off the meet with the Donegal county players after their game. This was a great experience for the kids as Captain Patrick McBrearty and his team gave a lot of time to thd kids signing everything and lots of pictures. Shaun Patton even giving his gloves. Niall o Donnell, Hugh McFadden, Eoghan Ban and all the lads giving each of our young players lots of good advice. Coming down the road the squad sung their hearts out looking forward to our next trip which is to play a blitz in the Full Size Covered Dome in Mayo. Well done to Martin Goldrick, Ronan, Jenni, Sinead, Frank, Padraig, Menie, Jason and Gary for all you are doing. Thank you to Ann Marie Gallagher for reffing.
